ABOUT LOCAL CARE PROVIDER - OLDHAM SHARED LIVES
Oldham's shared lives scheme supports approximately 85 carers and 90 people using the service. This service is divided into three types; long-term (offering 24-hour support seven days a week); supported lodgings (theoretically time-limited with the aim of moving the person on to more independence); and kinship (the person is independent but receiving some support). All people who used the service were referred through the Oldham social services department.
