Bluebird Care Southend & Rochford

"Our father was cared for by Bluebird Care for the last year of his life. His wish was to remain at home and Bluebird enabled him to do this. Every carer was cheerful and friendly, and Dad looked forward to their arrival.
As the year progressed, our father’s physical and mental condition deteriorated (he was diagnosed with dementia, heart disease, osteo-arthritis and a bowel condition, to name just a few) and ambulances had frequently to be called. The carers always dealt with the varied situations magnificently, calmly and professionally. He was admitted to hospital on several occasions and the home support was always seamlessly back in place when he was discharged.
As his needs became greater, Bluebird judged the increased amount of support required and initiated this with the relevant authorising services. They would make us aware of any concerns and, on several occasions, made direct contact with the ambulance service, his G.P. or the District Nurse. Any requests or comments that we made about Bluebird’s service were always listened to and taken seriously.
The past year was made especially difficult as it coincided with the coronavirus pandemic but, due to the excellent precautions put in place by Bluebird, and despite the numerous daily visits that Dad received from the carers, he remained Covid-free to the end.
We have already recommended Bluebird Care to a friend for her mother, who is delighted with the support she is now receiving. We would like to take this opportunity to thank every individual person working for the Southend & Rochford area – without them we would not have coped."
